A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet really user-friendly, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you will notice a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking on it once more will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a few clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes with any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all option for a mailbox, you’ll have to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this feature can be achieved in the same way and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a specific domain, you will receive a warning notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never edit or disable any feature automatically.
